For this adidas collaboration, the goal was simple: create something that didn't look like another football commercial.
By combining cinematic production with custom hand-drawn illustration and animation, we developed a visual style that felt fresh, modern and instantly recognisable. The result was a campaign that stood apart from traditional sports advertising while staying true to the identity of both ARIS FC and adidas.
The challenge was not simply combining live action with hand-drawn graphics, but making the two feel like one. Each scene was shot with the animation already in mind, with player movement, composition and timing carefully planned to create space for the graphics and allow them to interact naturally with the footage.
In post-production, each sequence was developed further by hand, turning the artwork into an active part of what was happening on screen rather than simply a visual layer placed over the footage. This approach allowed us to preserve the energy of live action while creating a distinctive visual world for the campaign.
